Turkey Government Scholarships
Turkey government provides many scholarships to international students to pursue associate, undergraduate, masters, and doctorate studies in Turkey. The Turkey government provides support to students in financing their studies.

Turkiye Graduate Scholarship Programmes
Scholarship benefits: Covers monthly stipend for master's and PhD studies, tuition fee full, free one-year Turkish language programme, free state-owned dormitory, round-trip air ticket, and health insurance.
Ali Kuşcu Science and Technology Graduate Scholarship
Eligible country citizens: International students from all over the world except from Turkey are eligible for this scholarship.
Areas of study: Science, Engineering and Technology.
Study level: Masters and PhD degrees.
İbni Haldun Social Sciences Graduate Scholarship
International students from all over the world except from Turkey are eligible for this scholarship.
Area of Study: Social sciences.

Turkiye Africa Undergraduate Scholarship Programme

Harran Undergraduate Scholarship Programme
Eligible country nationals: Nationals of following countries are eligible for this scholarship- Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria, Palestine, Tajikistan, and Bangladesh
Study levels: All undergraduate programmes except Turkish Language and Literature, Medical Sciences, and Islamic Studies.
Black Sea Undergraduate Scholarship Programme
Eligible country nationals: Nationals of following countries are eligible for this scholarship- Poland, Belarus, Slovakia, Lithuania, Romania, Czech Republic, Estonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Armenia, Russia, Georgia, and Latvia.
Study levels: All undergraduate programmes except Turkish Language and Literature, Medical Sciences, and Islamic Studies.
Turkish Speaking Countries Undergraduate Scholarship Programme
Eligible country nationals: Nationals of following countries are eligible for this scholarship- Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan,
Study levels: All undergraduate programmes except Turkish Language and Literature, Medical Sciences, and Islamic Studies.
Anatolian Undergraduate Scholarship Programme
This scholarship programme is only for the nationals of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the non-Turkish nationals who have finished their secondary education in Turkey.
Study levels: All undergraduate programmes except Turkish Language and Literature, Medical Sciences, and Islamic Studies are provided this scholarship.
Balkans Scholarship Programmme
Eligible country nationals: Citizens of following countries are eligible- Greece, Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Kosovo.
Study levels: All undergraduate programmes except Turkish Language and Literature, Medical Sciences, and Islamic Studies are provided this scholarship.
Turkiye Branch Scholarships
İbni Sina Medical Sciences Scholarship Programme
Eligible country nationals: Students from all countries, except Turkey citizens
Area of Study: Dentistry, medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmaceutics and nursing
Study levels: Associate, Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD degree.
Yunus Emre Turkish Language Scholarship Programme
This scholarship is for students who wish to pursue a study programme whose language of instruction is in Turkish.
Eligible country nationals: Students from all countries, except Turkey citizens
Study level: Undergraduate, Masters and PhD degrees.
Islamic Studies Scholarship Programme
Eligible country nationals: Students from all countries, except Turkey citizens
Study area: Religious studies.
Study level: Undergraduate, Masters and PhD degrees
Short Term Scholarships
Success and Support Scholarships
Turkey Government has introduced success and support Scholarships for international pupils. The international students must be admitted into the higher education institution in Turkey in order to receive this scholarship.
Success scholarship is for the top performing students from all the degree level programmes- associate, undergraduate, Masters and PhD. This scholarship is given on the basis of academic merit. Students who possess any other scholarship are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Support Scholarship is for international students who are enrolled in any of the degree programme in Turkish universities- associate, undergraduate, Masters and PhD. This scholarship is given on the basis of financial need. Students who possess any other scholarship are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship provider: Turkey Government
Scholarship subject area: All the courses provided by the Turkish universities
Course level: Students who have undertaken associate, undergraduate, masters and PhD degree programmes in Turkish universities are eligible for this scholarship.
Research Scholarships
Eligible country nationals: Non-Turkish citizens from all over the world
Requirement: Candidates must have a letter of acceptance from the higher education institution in Turkey and also she/he must meet the language criteria of that institution.
Study level: PhD
Ahilik Vocational Training Scholarship
Ahilik Vocational Training Scholarship is for 2-year course at vocational schools in Turkey.
Eligible country nationals: Non-Turkish citizens from all over the world.
Turkiye Scholarships Application Requirements
- Candidates must be graduated or likely to graduate from an educational institution that is equivalent to that of Turkey are eligible to apply for Turkiye Scholarships.
- Nationals of Turkey and individuals who lost Turkish citizenship are not eligible to apply this scholarship programme.
- Turkish Language Proficiency Requirement: Candidates are required to demonstrate their level of command in Turkish. Candidates who cannot submit the Turkish proficiency certificate are required to attend a Turkish language preparation course.
Selection Ways and Means: Candidates are selected on the basis of academic merit and performance in interview. The cumulative GPA required for the Turkey scholarship programmes are:
- For association degree: 70%
- For undergraduate degree: 70%
- For masters and PhD degree: 75%
- For medical school studies: 90%
On the basis of the academic results and grades, candidates are called for interview. Interview are held either f2f or through communication tools in the countries where Turkish embassy or consulate is not available.
